We are celebrating the National Year of Reading 2008
through a programme of events in our
libraries, in September we
come to: you are what you read.
The National Year of
Reading 2008 is a campaign to encourage more people to read for
pleasure. We are planning reading promotions and events throughout
the year.
Each month during National Year of Reading is inspired by a
theme, including read
all about it, mind and
body, reading
escapes, rhythm
and rhyme, team read and many more. This month the theme
is you are what
you read.
Forthcoming events are listed on the our
events
calendar, including our
Ancestry
taster sessions, meet the authors
Kylie Fitzpatrick and
Nell Leyshon and our
story time and drawing competition.
We will keep you up-to-date with future events and promotions on
this page.
Also look out for our features about reading in our monthly
magazine
North Somerset Life.
