Have we got the book you want?

Our libraries have more than 291,000 items for you to choose from and you can borrow from neighbouring libraries too.

Check our LibrariesWest online catalogue. This includes the stock of libraries in Bristol, Somerset, Bath and North East Somerset, and South Gloucestershire, as well as North Somerset. You can borrow books from over 100 LibrariesWest libraries in person or by reserving the book to come to your local library.

You can request a book online or at your local library for a small charges (pdf, Jan 11, 61KB) to be paid when your reservation is placed. If you reserve online, pay on your next library visit. It's free if you are a concessionary member. Also if you are under 17 then up to six reservations are free.

If you can't find your book, then we can search the national network of libraries using our interlibrary loan service. The charge is £5 for this service. (£2 per renewal)

We can also request an article from a book or journal from the British Library. We will ask you to fill in a copyright form, and there will be a £5 interlibrary loan charge plus a charge for each page of the photocopy supplied.

We also have CDs and DVDs available in our libraries.

For more information contact your local library.
