Our local history collections at

North Somerset Studies library include local parish records on
microfiche and local census returns on fiche. These libraries have
a regular
archivist visit from
Somerset Record
office.
Weston
Library has a large family history collection to help you in
your research, including:
- births marriages and deaths (BMD) index on microfiche for
1837-1901. Libraries in
Somerset and
Bristol have microfiche from 1901 onwards. There is also an
online version on FreeBMD
- International Genealogical Index (IGI) of parish registers
(Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints) on microfiche.
There is also an online version on
Familysearch
- war records including CD-ROMs listing soldiers who died in the
two World Wars.
