Friendly staff at your local library are happy to help you with your homework.

We have a collection of books on homework topics for five to 11 year olds at many of our libraries.

Search for the books you want on our catalogue and when you have found what you want it is free for you to reserve up to six books.  You can: 

• save the books you want 
• get books from other libraries

You just need your library card and PIN to reserve online. You can also choose the library you want to collect your books from.

We have free websites that can help you with homework in our online library:

• Encyclopaedia -huge number of facts, with a special section for 5-11 year olds and older students - Britannica online
• Dictionaries -there are 100s of them on Oxford Reference Online
• Newspapers - if you need to find out what happened on a particular date try Times Digital Archive  and UK Newsstand
• Famous People - find out about their lives in Who’s Who and The Oxford Dictionary of National Biography.
• You can find even more homework help websites on  cyberlibrary.
