Swimming teaching courses

We run a range of swimming teacher courses for people in North Somerset.

They are offered by the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) and are open to teachers and other adults.

The course allows you to become a fully-qualified swimming teacher.

All our courses are run at Churchill Sports Centre and include:

ASA/UKCC Level I Certificate in Teaching Aquatics - This is the first step towards becoming a swimming teacher and is designed to introduce candidates to the basic principles of teaching. Once qualified, the holder will be able to help teach a limited range of basic skills under the supervision of a qualified UKCC Teacher/Coach. The ASA/UKCC qualifications have replaced the ASA Swimming Teacher qualifications.
