North Somerset, Bristol City, Bath and North East
Somerset and South Gloucestershire Councils, together with
Sportsaid South West, Burges Salmon Solicitors, University of Bath
- Department of Sports Development and Recreation, Team West of
England and Wesport have come together to provide grants
and facilities to support the West of England's performance
athletes.
Grants are allocated once a year to performance athletes who
fulfil the necessary criteria. Athletes are given a cash sum
in the region of £300-£600 for transport, training, equipment and
competition costs, together with a one year subscription to two
Springboard Access cards allowing free entry to sport and leisure
centres for training.
Advice and support from Burges Salmon solicitors is provided and
pro bono advice if needed.
