from the side lines?
Are you no longer able to take part in the sport or physical
activity you love but would still like to be involved?
Have you thought about becoming a coach or instructor? The
Go4Life Coach and Instructor Bursary can help you gain a formal
qualification.
The aim of the bursary is to support deliverers who may not have
any formal coaching qualifications or who, as part of their
continual professional development, want to attend additional
physical activity or coaching courses.
Funding is available to cover either 100% or 50% of the overall
course fee, depending on the cost of the course. In return
for the support received deliverers have to commit one voluntary
hour per £10 in funding they access to the North Somerset Coaching
Programme.
Awards will be made on a bi-monthly basis or until the funding
runs out and priority will go to candidates who can meet the
following criteria:-
- currently delivering in a sports or physical activity
environment
- currently delivering within North Somerset
- currently delivering on a weekly basis
- can contribute significantly to the aims of the
funding.
