If we accept a full homeless duty to you we will
normally help you find privately rented accommodation through our
deposit bond scheme.
We do not allocate housing association properties but are
responsible for ensuring your application for the Housing
Needs Register is up to date and backdated correctly.
Due to high demand and short supply, affordable housing is not a
short-term option for the majority of households even if you are
homeless.
If we do not accept a full homeless duty to you we can provide
extensive advice on how to find your own accommodation.
This may include referrals to our partners, such as the
Woodspring
Deposit Guarantee Board on 01934 617 617.
You can apply to these organisations for assistance with a
bond for privately rented accommodation if you have lived in the
area for at least six months and are eligible for their
schemes.
