Some big changes are to be introduced in April
next year in the way housing is dealt with in North
Somerset.
If you are applying for housing or are already on the Housing
Register then the new HomeChoice scheme will give you more choice
and control over where you live.
The scheme is currently being developed and some changes are to
be introduced towards the end of this year.
If you are applying for housing then you will get a clear
picture of properties available, as we will be publicising them.
You will then be able to express an interest in a particular
property, based on your housing needs.
Although this will not mean that there are more properties
available, it will mean that you will be able to get feedback on
how popular properties and areas are.
The HomeChoice scheme is designed to be clearer and easier to
use than the current system.
In July the Executive approved the
HomeChoice North Somerset lettings policy, which outlines how
the new scheme will be run.
