Some big changes were introduced in April 2009 in
the way housing is dealt with in North Somerset.
If you are applying for housing or are already on the Housing
Register then the new HomeChoice scheme will give you more choice
and control over where you live.

When you are applying for housing you will get a clear
picture of properties available, as we will be publicising them.
You will then be able to express an interest in a particular
property, based on your housing needs.
Although this will not mean that there are more properties
available, it will mean that you will be able to get feedback on
how popular properties and areas are.
The HomeChoice scheme is designed to be clearer and easier to
use than the current system.
You should have already received a new HomeChoice application
form. Please look out for this in the post, it is vital that you
complete the form and return it to us so that we can let you know
what band you are in.
