We are responsible for processing applications for
people in housing need within North Somerset.
We manage this process through something called the
Housing
Needs Register which matches people with available properties
across the district.
Unfortunately, many more people join the
Housing
Needs Register than can be re-housed each year and we cannot
find everyone a home immediately.
Therefore, it is not unusual for people to wait for
several years before being re-housed.
However, we are no longer in charge of the housing stock
which has been controlled since 2006 by
North Somerset Housing Limited
(NSH).
