Park Homes

Park Homes residential sites are open all year round, containing static caravans or park homes for permanent residential use.

North Somerset Council has a responsibility to issue a licence to each residential site, which must also have the relevant planning consent.  A list of all licensed sites can be found here.

There is no statutory duty on authorities to inspect and monitor parks, however they do have the powers to prosecute any failure to comply with licence conditions and can carry out works in default, but have no duty to do so.

The council has conducted a review of park homes in North Somerset, the results of which can be accessed here.
If you are already a park home owner, or you are considering buying a park home, there is very useful information contained in this fact sheet produced by AgeUK.
