A free electric blanket testing session takes place in
Weston-super-Mare later this month.
Advice and information on fire safety; reducing fuel bills;
insulation and heating grants/discounts; gas appliance
servicing and the dangers of carbon monoxide will also be available
at the event in the reception area of Somerset House, Oxford
Street, in the town on Thursday 18 November.
It all happens between 10am and 2pm and free tea and coffee will
be available as well as advice from Trading Standards.
You will need to make an appointment to have your blanket tested
by calling Trading Standards on 01275 888 651. It may be possible
to collect and test your blanket if you are unable to come
along.
