We carry out emergency inspections of reported
dangerous buildings and structures within North
Somerset.
When a structure is reported as unsafe one of our building
surveyors will carry out an inspection on it.
This can include anything from a leaning wall to a loose tile or
rumbling building.
Whatever it is, if it could hurt a member of the public then it
is classed as unsafe and we will aim to survey it within two hours
of receiving a report.
The cost of any emergency works to remove such dangers will,
wherever possible, be recovered from the owner of the
premises.
Our role is limited to making the structure safe and we cannot
repair any structures.
