You can now recycle your paper-based drinks and
liquid food and Tetra Pak cartons at various points across North
Somerset.
Each year 55,000 tonnes of these paper-based products are
produced to hold food and drinks such as milk, juice and sauces -
this is around 2.3kg of cartons per household.
Alongside Tetra
Pak and the carton industry body
ACE UK we have established the
following carton recycling points:
- Waitrose - Portishead
- Tesco - Clevedon
- Clevedon Road Car Park - Nailsea
- Somerfield - Yatton
- Tesco - Weston-super-Mare
- The Woodborough Pub - Winscombe
Once collected, your cartons are taken away to a recycling mill
in Sweden where they will be turned into a number of different
products ranging from plasterboard liner to high-strength paper
bags and envelopes.
