We are committed to promoting real nappies
and nappy networks bring together the Council with parents,
health professionals, real nappy sellers, manufacturers and laundry
services.
Real nappy networks and projects exist in many parts of the UK
and have been successful in making substantial reductions in nappy
waste.
We have created a real nappy network within North Somerset
called the
North Somerset Nappy
Alliance.
The network aims to increase awareness of the difference that
using washables nappies can make to our environment, and how easy,
simple and inexpensive they can be!
Come along and find out more about real nappies and the Alliance
at one of our events in
Real Nappy Week 2009.
A real nappy network has already been set up in Bristol for a
number of years. For further information visit the
Bristol-based Real
Nappy Project website.
