Fizzy drinks bottles - We collect
plastic bottle that are type 1 and type 2 plastic. As an
alternative use in your garden to make a mini cloche to protect
young plants.
Fluorescent light tubes -and sodium lamps, are
classified as hazardous waste. Unsafe disposal of these items
releases harmful phosphor dust and toxic mercury vapour. Please
take to the recycling centre and speak a member of staff who will
direct you to the correct container.
Do not put in your refuse or in green box as it will not be
collected.
Food Waste - We do not offer a food waste collection. You
can compost
uncooked non meat foods such as vegetable and fruit peelings, tea
bags and egg shells.
Fridges & Freezers - See

Furniture - is often thrown away because it's old or
outdated, a deep clean will add new life to your furniture. If you
still don't want your furniture it can easily be refurbished by
giving to an
organisation that specialises in reuse
Alternatively you could use our
Bulky
waste collection service, or take to the
recycling
centre.
Please note furniture must have passed 1988 fire safety
standards to be passed onto charitites. Look for the label
"carelessness causes fire", charities cannot accept items that
don't have this label
