Fizzy drinks bottles
- We collect plastic bottle that are type 1 and type 2 plastic. As an alternative use in your garden to make a mini cloche to protect young plants.

Fluorescent light tubes -and sodium lamps, are classified as hazardous waste. Unsafe disposal of these items releases harmful phosphor dust and toxic mercury vapour. Please take to the recycling centre and speak a member of staff who will direct you to the correct container.

Do not put in your refuse or in green box as it will not be collected.

Food Waste - We do not offer a food waste collection. You can compost uncooked non meat foods such as vegetable and fruit peelings, tea bags and egg shells.

Fridges & Freezers - See electrical appliances

Furniture - is often thrown away because it's old or outdated, a deep clean will add new life to your furniture. If you still don't want your furniture it can easily be refurbished by giving to an organisation that specialises in reuse

Alternatively you could use our Bulky waste collection service, or take to the recycling centre.

Please note furniture must have passed 1988 fire safety standards to be passed onto charitites. Look for the label "carelessness causes fire", charities cannot accept items that don't have this label
