If our Waste Education Officer is unable to visit your
school, or you would like some resources to run a themed week, we
have some 3 R's (reduce, reuse, recycle) school resources
available.
The Treasure Chest loan boxes have been created for Key
Stage One and Key Stage Two usage and are based on the
message of ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’ to compliment our school
waste minimisation education programme.
There are two Key Stage One Treasure Chests, and two Key
Stage Two Chests which can be hired for FREE for a two-week
period.
The Chests will be delivered to your school on a Friday, and
will then be collected from your school Reception at 9.30am two
weeks later.
The Chests include games, role play scenarios with props, books,
stories, posters, recycling images, a CD-ROM of teaching resources,
practical examples of ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’ and extension
activities.
For more details of the contents of each box please view
the
Key Stage One Treasure Chest contents list
(pdf) and the
Key Stage Two Treasure Chest contents list
(pdf).
Our
Treasure Chest flyer (pdf) is now
