Mid-year population estimates are published by the
Office of National Statistics and give an idea of the number of
people living in North Somerset.
The mid-2010 population estimates are now
available. The estimates include students, long term
migrants to the UK, and school borders at their term time address,
but exclude short-time migrants (3-12 months).
The results are available by five year age bands and gender and
by a selection of alternative age bands.
Since 2001 the population of North Somerset is estimated to have
increased by 23,400 (12.4%).
The estimates are produced for all local authorities and are
updated annually.
