The North Somerset Replacement Local Plan (RLP)has been
prepared under the Town and Country Planning Act
1990.
The RLP is part of North Somerset's Local Development Framework.
The policies in the plan remain in force until they are superseded
by forthcoming Development Plan Documents. The exception to these
are
-
GDP/4 sustainable water management,
-
H/10 protection of exisitng housing stock;
and
-
T/5 new public car parks.
From 27 March 2010 these three policies will no longer
be part of the plan. In accordance with the 2004 Planning
Act the Secretary of State has saved the remainder of the Local
Plan policies, as stated in the
direction letter (pdf, Mar 10, 192KB)
and
schedule of saved policies (pdf, Mar
10, 573KB).
The RLP comprises a
Written Statement and a Proposals Map,
which together include policies for regulating development
across North Somerset.
You can now view the
proposals
map on an interactive map base or you can look
