Work has commenced on a Site
Allocations Development Plan Document.
This will form part of the Development Plan along with the Core
Strategy under the
Local Development Framework.
It will supersede elements of the
North Somerset Replacement Local Plan and will make detailed
land allocations for various land uses across North Somerset.
These will include allocations for uses including housing and
employment, as well as settlement boundaries.
As part of the initial stages in the production of the
document a call for sites was made allowing
individuals and organisations to submit sites for
consideration. This resulted in a number of
sites (pdf, Nov 11, 1.6MB) being put
forward for potential development. The plan provides an
overview of the range of sites and locations
received. Further information will be set out in
the future to support the production of the Site
Allocations Development Plan Document.
There will also be opportunities to make representations to
the Site Allocations Development Plan Document during consultation
at a later date.
