The Minerals Working in Avon Local Plan provides
guidance on mineral extraction.
You can download a copy of the
plan (pdf, Jan 12, 75MB) which was adopted
in 1993. We anticipate that a Minerals Development Plan
Document will ultimately be produced as part of the
Local
Development Framework (LDF).
The plan covers North Somerset, Bristol and Bath and North
East Somerset areas and sets out detailed policies and proposals
for their mineral development, including the exploration and
location of existing and future mineral extraction sites.
South Gloucestershire has its own separate
Minerals and Waste Local Plan.
