Tide times

Tidal predictions for North Somerset are based upon high and low water at Weston-super-Mare beach.

Download 2012 tide times (pdf, Oct 11, 61K) show the tide times and heights.  All times given in the timetable have been adjusted for Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and BST time differences.

The approximate high and low water times are a few minutes later than those for Weston and are as follows:

  • Clevedon add 10 minutes
  • Portishead add 18 minutes
  • Burnham-on-Sea add 4 minutes

Please note that weather conditions which differ from the average will have an effect on the differences between predicted and actual tide times.

Strong winds can hold the tide in or push it out while air pressure can cause fluctuations in predicted levels.

The tidal predictions were computed by the Proudman Oceanographic Laboratory which reserves all copyright.
