We have teamed up with neighbouring councils to develop a local and regional pollution forecasting service. We are working with Bristol City, South Gloucestershire and Bath and North East Somerset councils to develop an air quality strategy for the area. The five main pollutants investigated are nitrous and oxides, carbon monoxide and particulate matter (PM10), benzene and sulphur dioxide.
