We deal with complaints about noise from commercial
premises in North Somerset.
In many cases the business making the noise is unaware they are
causing a problem so it can be sorted out quite quickly.
If this approach fails we can serve a notice requiring them to take
action to control their noise or face legal action.
In some cases the premises may hold a premise licence which
means we can ensure noise is kept below a nuisance level and take
action if it operates outside of its licensing
agreement.
Construction sites are also a common source of noise
pollution. A certain amount of noise is anticipated when
building work is underway and so a restriction on working hours is
often outlined as part of the
planning
permission. We can take action to control any noise caused by
demolition
work if necessary.
