Basic
information should be readily available and accessible at schools
and other premises to key personnel (e.g. Headteacher,
Governors, Health & Safety Representatives,
Surveyors/Consultants, Premises Managers and Building
Contractors).
Some of this
information is required by law whilst some aids effective property
management. For example, CDM
Regulations require the production of premises-related
information by those involved in the design of new building
projects. These have to be maintained and updated by the
Governing Body when undertaking/commissioning work. There are
also Health & Safety requirements
around
asbestos management and statutory testing. Please refer
to HSE Asbestos
guidance for more information.
Whilst some of the information is included in your AMP, some
will also depend upon local knowledge.
