An event that recognises and rewards the
contribution made by young people in our schools to the community
takes place at the Winter Gardens, Weston-super-Mare on 30
June.
Over 100 young people will receive awards at this prestigious
event across a range of categories including fundraising and
voluntary work.
"These awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of school
and college students in Weston who give up their time to support
the local and wider community. Weston-super-Mare should be proud of
them," said Julaine Baldan, Director of The Weston Federation of
Schools.
Cllr Jeremy Blatchford, North Somerset Council's executive member
for children and young people's services, will open the event and
present awards along with Weston-super-Mare's deputy mayor, Cllr Dr
Mike Kellaway-Marriott, and Chairman of North Somerset Council,
Cllr Ian Porter.
The award ceremony will commence at 7.30pm and end at 9.30pm
approximately. |
