Draft Education provision in North Somerset - A Commissioning strategy 2012 – 2015

The current School Organisation Plan (2007-2012) (SOP) sets out the Authority’s framework against which decisions are taken in relation to school place planning and organisational structures.

Whilst there is no longer a statutory requirement to produce a School Organisation Plan, it is felt important that the strategic plans and commissioning strategies the Council wishes to pursue in relation to education provision planning should be shared with schools and other partners.

We have produced the renamed draft ‘Education Provision in North Somerset – A Commissioning Strategy 2012-2015’ (pdf, Jan 2012, 2Mb) which is now availble for download. We are seeking your views on this document; especially the proposed policy direction.

The consultation for this can be found on our website. The closing date for the consultation is the 30th March 2012.

In February and March 2012 we will be holding information events in Castlewood, Clevedon; Town Hall, Weston-super-Mare and St Katherine’s Secondary School, Pill.
