These are the school term and holiday dates
for 2008/09, 2009/10 and 2010/11 for
schools across North Somerset.
The school year is based on a calendar of 195 days with five
days used for staff training also known as In Service
Days.
This means schools will be open for the legal minimum
of 190 days or 380 sessions.
It will be necessary for parents and other interested parties to
contact individual schools direct for confirmation of the five
dates when they will be closed to pupils.
Academic year 2008/09
Following consultation, the official start and finish dates
for the 2008/09 school year in North Somerset are as
follows:

been finalised following consultations that took place in January
2008.
The agreed term and holiday dates for the 2009 – 2010 school
