School grounds can be a habitat for wildlife as
well as a place to play and learn.
If they are kept neat and tidy they also have the
benefit of making your school look a lot better for yourselves
and visitors.
If your school decides to concentrate on school grounds as an
Eco-Schools theme, you could consider taking part in one of the
following projects:
- using your schools grounds as a way of learning
- enhancing the recreational use of your school grounds
- ensuring your school grounds are attractive to create a good
impression for other people
- encouraging wildlife and plants to live and grow in your
school grounds
The national school grounds charity
Learning Through Landscapes
(LTL) can also provide help, information and support on
improving your school grounds.
