The Music Service can advise on the selection and hire
or purchase of musical instruments and
equipment.
Families looking to obtain an instrument are encouraged to
support local music retailers, which can be found in Clevedon,
Nailsea and Weston-super-Mare as well as slightly further afield in
Bristol and Taunton.
If families wish, they can
hire
instruments directly from the Music Service subject to
availability at very reasonable rates.
Some families ask the Music Service to source a suitable
instrument for them, rather than visiting various retailers
themselves. This is a service we are happy to provide, but
there is a small administration charge.
Whether purchasing an instrument from a local retailer or
through the Music Service many families will be eligible to benefit
from either the
Assisted
Instrument Purchase Scheme,
or Take It Away! both of which
greatly help with the financial outlay.
