Our Music Service is responsible
for programmes, courses, support and structures to give every
child and young person in North Somerset the opportunity to
interact with music and develop their skills.
The service supports schools with the musical experiences
they deliver and provides young people with a range of
opportunities and tuition, which is affordable as well as being of
a very high quality.
As well as providing instrumental and vocal tuition to thousands
of pupils in schools, our Music Service delivers training to school
teachers, runs festivals and projects, visits schools to introduce
music from other cultures, delivers ICT sessions, provides
instruments and leads bands, orchestras and choirs through its
North Somerset
Centre for Young Musicians (NSCYM).
The Music Service is an Arts Award Welcome Centre. This
means that if you are currently working towards obtaining an Arts
Award, we can provide opportunities for you to achieve your
goals.
