We provide support for parents and carers in North
Somerset.
We can offer help and advice on practical matters
such as the best the person to contact if you move house, who to
speak to about your child’s health or if there is a bereavement in
your family.
We can help if you think your child is being bullied and you
have already spoken to their school about the matter.
To help children and young people receive the most out of
their education we work with pupils, their families and school
staff where there are problems with school attendance,
behaviour or child welfare.
Our
Education Welfare Service can help solve attendance problems
and we will suggest ways to try to improve the
situation.
If your child is not attending regularly and our suggestions
haven't worked the government requires us to take court
action.
