We are committed to improving attendance and maximising
the achievement of pupils in North Somerset's
schools.
We work closely with schools, parents and children to help
minimise cases of truancy and to
address
attendance problems.
Our
Education Welfare Officers can discuss any concerns you may
have about your child and help ensure appropriate support is
available regarding their education.
We work in partnership with
the police to
interview children in public places during school hours and talk to
their parents to find out reasons for any absence.
If your child has
been excluded
from school we can also provide you with support and
advice.
