We use information communication technology
to raise standards in educational establishments in North
Somerset.
We provide advice to all educational establishments through the
delivery and monitoring of the
Education ICT Strategy 2007-2010.
This includes advice on priorities and targets on managing
national and local initiatives such as implementing a schools
broadband infrastructure and developing a
learning platform.
We provide information for headteachers on
E-Safety within their school.
We monitor and develop school ICT and provide
advice on planning,
procurement, ICT cross-cutting projects,
project management and
new builds.
Providing support for teachers and ancillary staff in the use of
ICT through a
service
level agreement including a termly
newsletter and
training opportunities.
We also identify and disseminate good practice in teaching,
learning and assessment through advice and events such as our
annual regional ICT conference.
