Our School Improvement Teams work in partnership with
schools to improve school leadership, management, teaching and
learning.
We focus on:
- Self evaluation
- English, mathematics, science
- Excellence and enjoyment - a primary strategy for learning
- Achievements of specific pupil groups such as gifted and
talented students and children with special educational
needs
We are committed to ensuring young people have every opportunity
to reach their full potential.
Our
14 - 19 Strategy identifies priorities and actions which will
guide us and our key partners for the next three years.
In September 2005, the new National Healthy Schools
programme was launched in partnership with North Somerset Primary
Care Trust to support schools who want to become healthier.
The Government wants every school to be working towards achieving
Healthy School Status by 2009. For further information, go to our
Healthy
Schools page.
