Research shows that high quality experiences in the early years,
including a good home learning environment, have a significant
positive impact on children’s social, emotional and cognitive
development and, therefore, their progress at school and into adult
life.
It is vitally important that early years provision is of a
consistently high standard, and that providers continually look for
ways to improve the quality of the learning, development and care
they offer.
This directory contains details of professional development
events and activities, running throughout North Somerset, which
support development of the workforce and contribute towards this
ongoing quality improvement.
Additional training that may be of interest to you (such as

Development (CPD) online booking system.

particular attention to the
booking,
attendance and
cancellation policies.
Popular courses book up quickly so it is advisable to book
early. When reviewing your training needs please check early when
you will need to renew any certificates, e.g. paediatric first aid,
and book your places accordingly. If you cannot attend please
remember to cancel your booking. If you do not notify us of any
cancellation 10 working days or more before the event you will be
charged the full fee.
