Out-of-school clubs provide activities for children at
either end of the school day and during the school
holidays.
They are often based on school sites but may be held
in youth clubs, community centres and nurseries.
Out of school clubs offer fun, planned activities for children
such as outdoor play, trips, games, crafts, cooking and lots
more.
Many also offer trips, days out and workshops and bring
in visitors to teach children new skills.
Support can be provided via the Disabled Children's team for
disabled children to attend their local out-of-school or holiday
club with a
'buddy'.
