Community meeting places

Community buildings are a focus for the neighbourhood providing places to meet across North Somerset.

They enable links to be made within neighbourhoods by providing a place for people to come together.

They also help promote a community spirit and local sense of identity and are a practical example of how Community Involvement works.

You can now use our interactive map to find and contact more than 100 community meeting places across the district including community centres, village halls, libraries, leisure centres, schools and church halls.

You can use the map's I want to find… and find my nearest… functions on the right-hand side of the map to find a meeting place and its contact details.

To use I want to find… to locate local meeting places select Community Meeting Places from the first drop down menu and then select the area you want to search from the second drop down menu.

Once you have found a venue use the zoom tool at the top of the screen to pinpoint it on the map and the Information tool to find out any relevant contact information or details about the building's facilities.

To use find my nearest… enter a postcode in the first box, select Community Meeting Places from the first drop down menu and a search distance from the second drop down menu.

To start your search select the show list button and then select your meeting place from the list provided.

Once you have found a venue use the zoom tool at the top of the screen to pinpoint it on the map and the Information tool to find out any relevant contact information or details about the building's facilities.
