The recent increased ownership in mini-bikes is
causing problems in some neighbourhoods.
Mini-bikes are small motorcycles which, due to their size, are
rarely legal to ride on public highways.
The bikes are popular with children which means even if they are
legal the riders often do not have the appropriate legal documents
such as tax and insurance to drive them.
There have been increased complaints of groups using public
parks as riding grounds for mini-bikes in recent months.
The high speeds and loud engine noises caused by the bikes often
causes concern for many residents. |
