Superfast broadband is on its way ... but we need your
help.
Last year North Somerset Council, along with other councils in
Devon and Somerset, successfully secured multi-million pound
Government funding for superfast broadband across the area.
We were part of the bid with Somerset and Devon County
Councils and Torbay and Plymouth councils, which secured a £30m
share of £50m funding.
The next step is to secure investment from the private sector to
install the broadband and to do that the councils involved need the
help of residents, communities and businesses.
They need to show there is strong demand for faster broadband
and show what current speeds and coverage there is across the area.
North Somerset Council is encouraging it's communities to get
involved and fill in a simple online survey on the
Connecting
Devon and Somerset website.
On the website there is also an online test for your current
broadband speed.
