A variety of advice will be available at the latest Safe
and Warm Action Day to be held next month.
The event takes place on Wednesday February 17 from 10am to 2pm
at Broadoak Mathematics and Computing College in
Windwhistle Road, Weston-super-Mare.
Come along and get your electric blanket tested for free, find
out about the Handyvan Service; home repairs and adaptations; home
security and safety.
There will be advice from Trading Standards, digital switchover
information, how you can reduce your fuel bills, insulation and
heating grants/discounts, information about fire safety and advice
on benefits.
And for youngsters……
meet a firefighter and look over a fire engine, visit the police
community contact vehicle, meet local police community support
officers, take your own fingerprints, find out about cycling
safely, have fun on the skateboard and bmx park, or be creative
with arts and crafts.
There will be free coffee and tea, cake, and soup and roll on
offer.

along, arrangements can be made to collect and test your
blanket.
