Another Month of Action kicks off on Wednesday 3 June
for the Oldmixon, Weston-super-Mare.
The month starts with a multi-agency walkabout with police,
fire, North Somerset Council, NS Housing, the community wardens and
any local residents who would like to come along. Members of
the Oldmixon Residents Association will be there to highlight local
issues and also to build relationships with organisations such as
the police and North Somerset Council.
Meet at Aller Parade shops at 9.30am on Wednesday 3 June, all
are very welcome. You can also visit NS Housing’s mobile office at
Aller Parade car park that day.
The police will be holding a speed enforcement day on 9 June, as
residents have complained about speeding cars in the
neighbourhood. The community wardens will be out and about
with the North Somerset Council Dog Warden to speak to owners
who let their dogs foul the streets and green
spaces.
The North Somerset Council Play Rangers will be holding
activities for 8-13 year olds at Aller Parade on Thursday 18 June,
come along to meet them and find out when they will be out and
about; and Oldmixon School is holding its annual fete on 27
June.
And finally, draft plans for the improvement of Aller Parade
shopping area will be available for comment by local residents and
traders: the Neighbourhood Management Team will be out and about at
community meetings through the month of June to ask people what
they think.
