The Gypsy Traveller Accommodation Assessment
(GTAA) will calculate pitch requirements for the time period
2006-2016.
It looks at a range of services and provision for improving
accommodation and increasing social inclusion amongst Gypsy and
Traveller communities in the area.
This study estimates the pitch requirements for the period 2006
to 2011 and then 2011 to 2016, in terms of:
- residential and transit provision
- pitches for Travelling Show people
It will also look at areas such as:
- employment
- health and education
- experiences of discrimination
- experiences of homelessness services
- support needs of Gypsies and Travellers and
- mobility/movement and potential use of transit
provision
