Our Race Equality Scheme outline our plans to
eliminate racial discrimination and promote equality and race
relations within North Somerset.
The final
North Somerset Council Race Equality Scheme 2007 - 2010 was
approved in March 2007 following a round of public
consultation.
It explains how we will continue to adopt appropriate policies
and practices to improve equal access to services and employment
for local Black and minority ethnic (BME).
It also explicitly covers Gypsies and Irish Travellers issues
ensuring they also benefit from our equality and diversity
policies.
