All housing built within North Somerset must be
accessible to Disabled people.
For this to happen properties must be built to certain basic
standards and we apply our accessible housing standards to both
conversions and newly built properties.
Our aim is to ensure anyone is able to easily adapt any property
to meet their needs.
In accordance with our residential planning policies, we recommend
the use of the
Joseph Rowntree Foundation's
Lifetime
Homes Standards.
