Our Registration Service registers births
and deaths taking place within North Somerset as well as
conducting and registering ceremonies of Marriage and Civil
Partnership.
It also stores birth, death, marriage and civil
partnership records and can produce
certificates from them.
The Registration Service also deals with the legal
preliminaries to
Marriage and
Civil Partnership ,
Citizenship Ceremonies for those completing the process of
becoming British citizens as well as
Naming Ceremonies and
Renewal of Vows.
Our Registration Service does not hold
burial and cremation records but these are available from
other local sources.
The main Register Office is at 41 Boulevard in
Weston-super-Mare and there is a part-time office at 37a Old Church
Road in Clevedon.
The opening hours for Weston Register Officer are 9am until
12.30pm and 2pm until 4pm Monday to Friday. The Clevedon office is
open from 9am until 1pm Monday to Friday. An appointment system is
in operation.
The Register Offices are closed on Bank Holidays.
