"Trickster" in town

A play based around the theme of distraction burglary comes to Weston-super-Mare with two free performances for North Somerset residents.

The play, called "Trickster", tells the story of a proud soldier who falls victim to distraction burglars. The story follows the soldier, George, as he battles with being conned and beats the bogus callers. The entertaining, hour-long play includes crime prevention advice and the audience leaves knowing how to better protect themselves against distraction burglary.

The play is being performed on Tuesday 7 July, 2009 at the Winter Gardens in Weston. The free performances are at 10.30am and 2.30pm and include tea and coffee. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis on by calling Wendy Loades on 0117 352 5701 or 07826 953250.

The play is being funded by Avon and Somerset Constabulary and the South-West Scambusters Team. Advice from agencies including North Somerset Council Trading Standards Service and Consumer Direct will be available at the venue.
