Food

We deal with a number of food related issues in North Somerset.

Our priority is ensuring that any produce you buy and eat across the district is fit for consumption.

This means that we have a duty to ensure all food businesses work within national health and safety guidelines and prepare and serve food in the right conditions.

We carry out this responsibility through our Food Safety team which routinely inspects more than 2000 establishments to enforce these rules.

We also help promote local produce through our support of local farmers' markets and the production of a local food directory.
